Katie Price has denied that she was trying to “break America” and said rumors she was depressed were untrue.

Katie has also revealed she was considering taking legal action over claims she has been abusing pain killers.

While attending the launch of her new range of equestrian , Katie again denied rumors that her marriage to singer Peter Andre is in trouble.

“Apparently I’m really depressed, not getting on with Pete and am lonely – apparently that’s what Katie Price is up to,” she said. “But it’s not true.”

Price spoke of her anger at reports that suggested she had been taking pills.

“I’m sick of them saying I’m on pain killers,” she said. “I have got my manager to arrange for me to have a blood test.

“I’m going to take legal action. I can take a lot of stuff but when they say I’m taking pain killers that’s stepping below the mark.”

Price said she had been “taking a break” in Malibu, near Los Angeles but would return to the UK in three weeks.

“It’s really good,” said the star, who admitted she was suffering from jet lag from her recent flight back home.

“I’ve got my horse out there. It’s a great place. Pete is finishing his album. We’re doing our reality show out there.

“We haven’t gone to break America. We’ve just gone to film our reality show.

“I suppose it’s just taking a break.”
